Machine Operator Resume Example made with Resume Star

Manufacturing supervisors hire operators who keep the line running safely and hit their numbers. Show the machines you run, the output and quality you deliver, and your safety training.

Tips for a machine operator resume

  • Name your machines. CNC lathes and mills, stamping presses, injection molding, packaging lines or robotic cells, and the controls you know.
  • Show output and quality. Parts per shift, percent of target, scrap rate and first-pass yield are what supervisors look for.
  • Say whether you do setups. Operators who can change over and set up machines, not just run them, are paid more.
  • List safety training and certifications. Lockout/tagout, OSHA 10, and forklift certification belong near the top.
  • Highlight reliability. Attendance, overtime availability and willingness to work any shift matter in manufacturing.
