Electrician Resume Example made with Resume Star

Electrical contractors look for your license level, the kind of work you have done and whether you can work safely to code. Put those where a foreman sees them first.

Tips for an electrician resume

  • State your license level. Apprentice, journeyman or master, with the state. Include OSHA 10 or 30 and NFPA 70E.
  • Say what kind of work you do. Residential, commercial or industrial; new construction, service or maintenance.
  • Show code knowledge. Mention the NEC edition you work to and your record passing inspections.
  • Name systems and tools. Service panels, conduit bending, motor controls, PLCs, fire alarm, low voltage and solar.
  • Coming from an apprenticeship? List the program (IBEW, IEC or ABC) and your on-the-job hours.
