HVAC Technician Resume Example made with Resume Star

HVAC companies hire technicians by their certifications, the systems they can fix, and how customers feel after a call. Put all three where a service manager sees them first.

Tips for an HVAC technician resume

  • List your certifications first. EPA 608 (Type I, II, III or Universal), NATE, and any state or city license.
  • Name the systems you work on. Split systems, heat pumps, furnaces, boilers, rooftop units, chillers or refrigeration; residential or commercial.
  • Use service numbers. Calls per day, first-time fix rate, callbacks and customer review scores.
  • Show sales if you have them. Replacements and maintenance plans sold bring revenue to the company.
  • Show how you moved up. Apprentice to installer to service tech or lead, and techs you train.
