Senior Manager Resume Example made with Resume Star

A senior manager is hired for results. Your resume should show how big your team and budget were, what changed because you led it, and the kind of business you know.

Tips for a senior manager resume

  • Start with a summary. Two or three sentences on your years of experience, your industry and what you are best at.
  • Show your scope. Team size, number of direct reports, budget and the departments or locations you oversee.
  • Lead with results. Revenue growth, cost savings, efficiency and quality gains, with numbers wherever you can.
  • Show how you build teams. Hiring, coaching, promotions from your team and lower turnover.
  • Keep earlier jobs short. Give details for recent roles and list older jobs by title and company only.
